The site has neighbours to both sides, and so the design was developed to be considerate of this in height, position and orientation, whilst still making the most of the views over the garden. The split form provides a protective frontage and opens out to the garden, creating a protected courtyard to catch the afternoon light and evening sun, whilst internally the spaces look through each other and always draw the eye back to the garden beyond.
