Mole is a house and studio for an artist. The house sits alone in the field; its form makes use of the views to the east of the north Pennines whilst providing shelter through offering terraces and nooks around the building.
The local stone and red metal roof ensure the building sits comfortably and unpretentiously in its wildflower field, and the construction uses highly sustainable techniques and materials, including the use of hempcrete in the wall construction.
