We are delighted to have been granted planning permission for our print makers studio in Northumberland. The scheme resurrects a pair of structures within a series of historic mill buildings, connecting them with a lightweight glazed link and creating a central protected courtyard garden. The materials and roof form of the new studio provide a subtle contrast with the existing cottage and take their inspiration from metal structures in the wider site. The windows are carefully designed to frame views looking over the gardens and fields beyond and provide calm inspiration for Janet to produce and exhibit her wonderful work.
