Lynsey studied at the prestigious Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow and has maintained involvement with architectural education as a visiting design tutor at Sheffield University and Northumbria University.
After graduating Lynsey worked with Ian Simpson Architects in Manchester on several award winning projects before going on to form Bath based practice DesignScape. Her experience ranges from large scale commercial projects to small domestic extensions of the highest quality.
Following a return to the North East, Lynsey established Elliott Architects Ltd with Ben in 2014 where she has guided the team to create a client focused practice, winning twelve RIBA Awards between 2014 – 2025; a truly remarkable achievement.
Lynsey also appears as a featured architect in the BBC2 television programme ‘Your Home Made Perfect’ (available on the BBC iPlayer and Netflix at the time of writing), and has been named in the latest update to Nikolaus Pevsner’s historic guide; ‘The Buildings of England: Yorkshire: The North Riding’ for her work on the RIBA National Award winning ‘Hushh House’.
