Ben studied at the Manchester School of Architecture where he graduated with distinction. He has been actively involved with teaching alongside practice for over twenty five years, and has taught at Manchester University, Bath University and more recently as Director of Architecture at Northumbria University in Newcastle.
Ben worked with Ian Simpson Architects in Manchester before practicing as a senior architect at the award winning Fielden Clegg Bradley Architects in Bath. He has designed and delivered multiple award winning projects across a range of scales and sectors including high profile commercial developments, significant cultural projects and small scale residential schemes.
In 2014 Ben established Elliott Architects Ltd with Lynsey, and together they have guided the team to develop a practice with design quality and client satisfaction at its heart, with the practice having won twelve RIBA Awards from 2014 – 2025.
