A beautiful setting, and hopefully a beautiful project to match, located in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
One of our current bastle projects, the design gives breathing space to the existing house via a structural glass link, which also adds some drama to the transition from old to new.
The design is set on a strong axis, connecting the house to the wider landscape with a lovely vaulted ceiling which gives a generously proportioned new kitchen, dining and living area, and at the end, the corner is cut away from the new gable to direct views and offer protected outdoor space.
The project is nearing completion and is looking great!
