Planning submission for back lane house

We have recently submitted a planning application for a new project just to the north of the river Tees!

The scheme creates a lovely family home on a highly constrained site in the heart of the conservation area. Creatively navigating the issues of the small sight, the design creates a discrete addition along the back lanes; bordered by terraces, it draws inspiration from the ad hoc and asymmetric compositions of the structures which line the lane, interpreting them to form a contemporary design which sits sensitively within the context.

The design has been evolving for some time, and following pro-active discussions with the local planning team during the pre application process, has been refined to create a sophisticated proposal in a sensitive setting – it is a great example of what we love doing (and what we are rather good at….!)
