The periscope is hoped to be the first installation in a wider plan to animate and rethink the landscape around the Windermere Jetty Museum and beyond.
This image illustrates some ideas for the future and shows how the periscope acts as a marker, drawing people up the hill like a contemporary cairn (VISION + LANDSCAPE) before a leading them down through the landscape (FLOW + PLAY) to the waters edge (LAKE + SOUND)…… between earth and sky, we dwell………………and it’s beautiful!
