permission for houses near hadrian’s wall

What a great way to end an amazing year; planning permission has been granted for this carefully crafted scheme in Northumberland.

Nine individual homes will be built in the Great Whittington Conservation Area which lies close to the Hadrian’s Wall world heritage site. They have been designed around a unique approach to planning in heritage contexts which balances planning criteria, the local neighbourhood development plan and the needs of the community.

The design has been widely welcomed by the local community, Northumberland conservation officers and the team at Historic England, who praised the design for its quality and sensitivity to the setting.

We are looking forward to seeing these built over the coming months.
