Our project in Cumbria has started on site!
We have a working title of ‘land house’ as the form takes cues not only from the immediate context, but also from the gentle rolling hills of the area.
The house has a seemingly simple form, but the design is full of surprises, with a dramatic entrance and a central circulation gallery which separates the living and sleeping areas. ……. integrated courtyards provide private and protected external spaces as intermediaries to the gardens to make the house feel permeable and connected to the landscape………we are very excited to see it coming to life!
