Another project in a beautiful and remote location in the Northumberland National Park, this extension to a historic stable block will preserve the building and create a family home high in the hills above Alwinton.
It is starting to take shape now and provides a contemporary wing to balance the existing building. Sitting into the hillside it respects the stables and makes the most of the dramatic views over the Kidland forest and beyond.
Run entirely off grid, the project seeks to provide an environmentally aware solution to living in a beautiful, but challenging, location in a project which creates harmony between historic buildings, contemporary additions and the stunning landscape setting.
