Our ‘Urban Room’, AKA the Farrell Centre, officially opens to the public tomorrow (22.04.23), and last night we were lucky enough to be at the pre-opening event………. A great night and thanks to everyone involved, particularly Owen Hopkins, Sir Terry Farrell and Space Architects with whom we collaborated to create a fun and welcoming project!
The centre will widen local engagement and debate around architecture and planning, inspired by the 2014 Farrell Review that every city should have an ‘urban room’ for local people to learn about the past, present and future of where they live.
It offers free admission to a programme of temporary exhibitions, public talks and debates, workshops, activities and events for schools, community groups and built environment professionals, and is open to all, so go and have a look at the opening exhibition!
