The project involved refurbishing this beautiful Georgian building on the world famous Grey Street in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne.

Earl Grey House lies at the heart of the Grainger Town conservation area in central Newcastle, and underwent substantial refurbishment including a new street frontage and fit out to the main reception area of the listed building.

This was a challenging environment in which to work as the planning and heritage issues were of the highest importance. Our design is a sophisticated and subtle addition to the streetscape and has been acknowledged by Newcastle Council planning and conservation officers as being of a exceptional quality.

Grey Street was described by renowned architectural historian Nikolaus Pevsner as ‘one of the finest streets in England’, and has also been voted ‘Best street in the UK’ by BBC Radio 4 listeners, and we are proud of our contribution to this prestigious context.
